A400 Platform Lift
The new A400 follows on from our highly successful A-Type platform lift and travels up to 13m (6 floors). The A400 wheelchair platform lift is free-standing and is available with rated loads of 400kg or 500kg.
From manufacture to installation our A400 Type lift is totally flexible
A favourite among architects and engineers with its high quality and flexible construction, the A400 platform lift fits well into all types of public, private or commercial environment. This platform lift includes a free standing enclosure in your chosen RAL colour, complete with either glazed or solid panelled shaft walls. The A400 can travel a maximum of 13m over six floors or eight stops in total and the 400kg model is rated to carry 5 persons or the Part M requirement of ‘one wheelchair user plus an assistant’.
Operation
With its elegant controls and call stations incorporated within the lift shaft, the A400 platform lift is designed to give less able persons, including the visually impaired, ease of use.
Part M compliant
With a standard platform size of 1500mm x 1100mm the A400 wheelchair platform lift is fully Part M compliant.
No pit required
This lift can be installed direct to the floor, which means no expensive costs for excavation.
No machine room
The control system is incorporated within the shaft so there is no need for a separate machine room
Easy installation
From delivery to client handover the installation takes only a matter of days.
Safety first
All extreme edges of the platform have movable safety edges which immediately stop the lift if touched. The speed is limited and the control system is the hold to run type. The lift is equipped with an emergency stop and alarm device.
Finishes and options
The lift can be specified with either glazed or solid shaft walls. The standard finish is white RAL 9016 but any RAL colour is available, and numerous options can be ordered such as custom floor finishes, key controls and an autodialler.
Floor Colours
Numerous floor colours are available as standard and are shown below. Various optional floor finishes are available such as black rubber flooring or aluminium chequerplate. 
Doors
2.0m high x 0.9m wide fully glazed doors with concealed closers are supplied as standard, with automatic opening as an option. 1 hour fire rated and also E160 gas and fire resistant doors can be specified. Doors can be fitted on up to three sides of the shaft on each floor.
