Premier now offers a comprehensive ‘Turnkey’ lift installation package.

Lift installations can be complicated and involve a number of specialist contractors.

Most lift companies install the lift into a shaft ‘by others’, indeed this is the Premier standard service. We have seen over the years though that this can lead to problems for the customer as they are left with managing the project.

This is where Premier is different.

For a number of years we have taken responsibility for the builders work associated with platform lift installation and refurbishment for many of our major clients. It was natural step to extend this as a service to all our customers. It means that we take on all builders work and project management for each lift installation.

This can bring a range of benefits to our customers:

This newly launched Sesame lift is not designed to use a set of retracting stairs in the same way as the standard Sesame Access System. Instead it can be fitted unobtrusively in an area that requires just a vertically traveling platform.

If you check the photos in the gallery above you will notice a fixed control post permanently on view. Architects can opt for this post rather than a hidden rising button post so users can find the wheelchair lift.

The user calls the platform lift by passing a swipe card over the call station. Once on the platform they can press and hold the up or down button on the post to reach the desired level.

This optional control system can be an ideal way to serve a wheelchair user in locations such as hotels. The customer can be given the swipe card with their keys at check-in and from then on will be able to operate the lift without assistance. This automatically ensures that the lift is inoperable by children or any unauthorised persons.

Premier Platform Lifts has been awarded the contract to supply all the platform lifts, wheelchair access lifts, scissor lifts and dock levellers for the prestigious €190m Grand Canal Square development in Dublin.

The centrepiece of the development is a diamond shaped 2,000 seat theatre, which is currently under construction by SISK and due for completion by 2010. The theatre is complemented by 380,000 sq ft of luxury office suites, all arranged around the Martha Schwartz Square. Each building has its own distinct profile and identity with striking sculptured shapes and a high performance double layered glass facade.

Working with Schindler Lifts Ireland, SISK and McCauley Daye O’Connell Architects we were unique in being able to meet all the required specifications for all specified lifts.

The complete package to be supplied by Premier Platform Lifts includes our recently introduced multi-storey shaft installed Scissor lifts with full attendant packages, a product that is unique to Premier and can easily take the place of a standard goods lift but at significantly less cost to the customer.

Premier Platform Lifts is Schindler Lifts’ preferred supplier of all Part M compliant platform lifts, scissor lifts and custom solutions. The Grand Canal Square installations will be taking place in June 2009.

Premier Platform Lifts has been awarded the latest ISO 9001:2008 certification. This newly introduced standard replaces the previous ISO 9001:2000 and represents an international consensus on good quality management practices.

ISO 9001:2008 introduces clarifications to the requirements existing in ISO 9001:2000 based on user experience over the past 8 years, and changes that are intended to improve further compatibility with the ISO 14001:2004 standard for environmental management systems.

This achievement of this newly introduced certification reflects Premier’s commitment to ongoing customer satisfaction by ensuring that we operate by the latest framework for managing our organisation’s processes.

Premier Platform Lifts has installed the tallest platform lift in Ireland at Pierce’s Grain Store, Paul’s Quay, Wexford town. Legislation regarding platform lifts has changed recently allowing the maximum travel to increase from 9m to 13m. Our A-Type lift was the first lift on the market to take advantage of this and as a result we could supply the perfect solution.

The Grain Store is a listed building and it was not possible to install a passenger lift. The design of the A-Type, which has a fully self-supporting shaft, enabled Premier to provide a solution that not only enabled full access of the building but also minimised impact to the surrounding structure.

Premier Platform Lifts was approached by the Hugo Boss project managing company, Hilson Moran & L & H Solutions, to supply a rather awkward and special type of passenger lift to their flagship and prestigious Sloane Square store.

We were faced with a challenge to design, manufacture and install a bespoke glazed and stainless steel passenger lift within a 10 to 12 week period. (more…)

The Type A lift can now be installed with these 1-hour fire rated and fully certified shaft panels to be used in conjunction with our 1-hour fire rated doors.

Premier Platform Lifts supplies this lift directly; reducing the need for builders’ work. It is a completely self-contained shaft that ensures there is no requirement for having an additional block, brick or other shaft. (more…)
