All platform lifts supplied by Premier come under the jurisdiction of the new Machinery Directive 2006/42/EC.

Our platform lifts also carry an EC Declaration of Conformity and are CE marked.

There is also a new European standard EN 81-41 for vertical platform lifts and for which our products again comply. It is for products intended for use by persons with impaired mobility. This standard was as accepted by the CEN Member States by Formal Vote on 06 January 2009. The new European standard EN 81-41 will give presumption of conformity to both the present and to the new Machinery Directive 2006/42/EC.

The new EN standard 81-41 will make it easier for the relevant authorities, architects and planners to understand and for European Notified bodies to assess, the safety requirements for vertical platform lifts.

The new standard EN 81-41 will improve and raise the safety requirements for European platform lifts, for the benefit of the users.

All Premier Platform Lifts’ products are already in full compliance with the safety requirements of the new European standard EN 81-41.
