The Award Winning Five Star Muckross Park Hotel Needed a Platform Lift

Daniel and the team at Muckross Park were relying on an hydraulic lift that was old, unreliable and a constant source of concern. The decision was made to source a replacement.

The management team were unsure who the best service provider would be, so they sought a recommendation from ENAT, the European Network for Accessible Tourism. Premier Lifts was suggested as a possible vendor and so they contacted the Premier Team.

Key concerns for the hotel was that it would be discrete, and reliable. They also weren’t sure what kind of lift would be most suitable, nor what kind of maintenance would be required.

“Premier Lifts went through all my options in detail on site from the practicality of installing a ramp to my options for a lift. Once we settled on a lift, I was given options within my budget and then Premier lifts talked me through each stage of installation, so that I knew exactly what to expect”.

Daniel O’Connor is the GM of Muckross Park and Spa, which is situated in the Killarney National Park. This five star hotel has a full Spa, several restaurants and a range of deluxe and superior rooms. It was important to the hotel that not only the correct selection was made, but that installation would case the minimal amount of disruption and inconvenience to guests.
